GSG Wind

Leeward Renewable Energy’s (LRE) GSG Wind project is situated on 3,000 acres near West Brooklyn, Illinois, and reached commercial operation in 2007. With a nameplate capacity of 80 MW, the project is comprised of 40 Gamesa G87 2.0 MW wind turbine generators, and interconnects to ComEd’s transmission system in PJM. The output from the GSG project is sold into the PJM market.
